Well, at least it's halfway over.
Okay, friends list. I've listened to you prattle on and on about this stuff, and I've tried to just not care, but I've reached my limit. Fine! You win! But this will not go unremembered.
Gekiranger 10-25
Well, I thought I'd seen more Geki than this. I thought I had more Geki on my hard drive. But, apparently not.
Anyway! Let's see, this was: Ran is assaulted by a perverted elephant for lolz, Retsu learns to dance, Jan abuses koinobori, Master Shafu's ex-girlfriend is pissed, Jan is taught by a member of the cast of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ran is forced to play mom, Rio is really Strong And Evil (did you know that?), I can has power-up?, Jan can show you the world (shining, shimmering splendid), and look it's a mysterious-- Retsu's brother~!?!?.
How many times are people going to not realize the creepy hermit is actually the Old Master they seek? Sheesh.
I find it kind of awesome that part of this is Shafu's ex's rage. Like, I didn't think Geki was really going to have that much of a, you know, real plot. Maybe kind of like Magi? But it makes more sense now.
Also, did I forget about Shafu's no fighting vow, or were we just told of it for the first time here?
Incidentally, VERY CREATIVE NAMES, THERE. (For those of you non Japanese speakers, they keep taking the animal names the monsters are based on and moving the the first character to be the last, in some kind of demented pig latin.
I was also about to award them 25 million points, because it looked like Michelle Peng (I think her name is) was going to line up with Retsu, but no.
Gou. You. I just. I thought they were exaggerating in Geki v. Bouken, but that really *is* all you say, isn't it?
Ran being Captain, though, that's pretty ace.
I still kind of have this problem figuring out how, if jealousy and hatred and rage are what makes you strong, how Mele is working this "soldier of love" aspect.
Watching this is a lot like watching Netsuretsu Teki Chuuka Hanten; I would be totally down with anyone who wanted to write a fic about the Gekiranger getting caught up into accidentally being chefs on a fail boat. Unless that happens later in Gekiranger...? I wouldn't put it past Toei, really.
My plan is, after I finish Geki (probably on Saturday?), take on Go-On, then Kiva, then Gao, then *sigh* 555. ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT ME TO SEE, FRIENDS LIST? Don't say Bioman.

(They delayed last week's entry for several days, so I decided to just wait to do it with this week's.)

My my, it's over! 24 Hour TV. Because there was some editing to be done behind the scenes after the end of the broadcasting, it was longer, but it's good we somehow made it in time for broadcasting!
Behind the scenes, we did this kind of stuff~ Stupid, right? (smile) Doing Laughter Aerobics all around, and drawing the curious attention from the entertainers around (they weren't annoyed), Arashi did it for us even though they didn't want to. And Arashi being vigilant for the sudden appearance of Happy-san or Kamihara-san while in transit was interesting. For staying with us late into the night, Happy-san, Kamihara-san, Gandhi Ramen's owner, thank you very much! Thanks to you Arashi was able to do it energetically~
This time in the experiment group, the following group, and the Arashi's progress group, the staff operated all together. As the Shukudai-kun staff, we were happy to have received time to do a plan in our style. It was a short time, but we think, "We were able to show our usual feeling?" If it wasn't for this chance, we probably wouldn't be able to do something like our stupid experiments with Nakama-san and Tokumitsu-san.
4 years ago, without participating in the plan of 24 Hour TV itself, we put our energy into winning over Arashi over doing nothing but following Arashi and "If You Leave It Alone for 24 Hours," and our reckless full throttle was fun, but frankly we couldn't wipe the feeling of "away". This time, however, we had a plan to capitalize on each of the member's individual personalties, and we had increased our knowledge of the staff in place, and we could see the members and staff exchanging words here and there, and it became so that just how hard these five had worked over the last 4 years was in front of our eyes. It was such that even if this program's staff hadn't butted in, there were lots of people who recognized each member's personality. You on the other side of the television must have felt it as well, but on this 24 Hour TV, Arashi's growth was truly felt. If they are personalities again, maybe an even more mature Arashi will appear. Let's all look forward to that day. To you who watched all along, thank you.

It was the first appearance of an artist in a while! Suga-san, thank you for getting excited about the fireworks competition and Aibaland. The opinion "It didn't think this was a (program) where I'd use this much physical strength" from Suga-san!! But it was fun, right?!
Nevertheless, this time's Aibaland was... dangerous. Although the wise saying from Suga-san was, "No matter if you do it properly or not, you'll take damage," surely! wasn't it. From the time of the explanation of the rules a dangerous mood hung in the air, but just as predicted, after almost all the members finished, they were sunk one by one as if so embarrassed they couldn't exist without hiding their face! The staff watched while laughing really hard. But, in fact the very first person to take damage was Director Hino. At the meeting, he was persistently asked "show us an example!" by the members, and reluctantly displayed and was sunk! Since he was saying he was going to make them do it on air, well, you reap what you sow, eh (smile).
Now then, somehow this was Shukudai-kun's 100th episode. It was a feeling of, "When did that happen?!", but we've already done that many episodes. Aim for it, a long running show! All of our viewers, please from now on your patronage, and please treat us kindly!
I really have very little to say about AnS or DnA that isn't incredibly incriminating. ALAS.
